A ceramic coating is a hard, glass-like layer chemically bonded to your paint. Bird lime, tree sap, road salt and UV stop attacking the clearcoat and start sitting on top of the coating instead — where they rinse off. Dirt struggles to stick, water sheets away, and the gloss doesn't fade in six months like a wax does.
