Ceramic coating in Peterborough
Peterborough is in one of the hardest-water areas in the country, and if you wash your car at home you'll have seen what that does: white spots that dry onto the paint and, left in summer sun, etch into it. A ceramic coating is the most effective fix there is — water beads up and runs off before it can dry where it lands.
Why a coating makes more difference here than most places
Water spots are mineral deposits — the calcium and magnesium left behind when a droplet evaporates. On bare clear coat they bond, and the longer they sit the harder they are to shift. On a coating's slick surface, water doesn't sit in droplets long enough to leave much behind, and what does is far easier to remove.
Add A1(M) and A47 miles and you get traffic film on top: the grey, greasy layer that builds up on any car doing regular fast-road runs. It doesn't bond to a coated surface the way it does to bare paint, so an ordinary wash takes it off.
The coating goes on after correction, never before. It's transparent and it lasts years, so anything left on the paint gets sealed in underneath.

Ceramic Coatings in Peterborough: questions
How do I stop water spots on my car?+
Don't let water dry on the paint. Dry the car after washing rather than leaving it to air-dry, and don't wash in direct sun. A coating helps enormously because water beads and runs off. Spots that have already etched in need polishing out — washing won't remove them.
Ceramic coating or PPF — which do I need?+
They do different jobs. A coating protects against chemicals, water spots and UV, and makes the car much easier to keep clean. PPF is a physical film that stops stone chips. Plenty of cars doing A1(M) miles benefit from both: film on the front end, coating over everything.
How long does it take?+
Two to four days including the paint correction underneath, which is most of the work. The coating then needs time to cure before the car gets wet.
