A musty smell is almost always moisture trapped in the carpet or the underlay beneath it. Air fresheners cover it for a day. Hot-water extraction followed by thorough drying removes what's feeding it.
If the damp keeps coming back, something is letting water in — a door seal, a blocked drain, a sunroof drain. We'll tell you if what we're seeing points to a leak, because cleaning alone won't fix that and you'd be paying twice.
Mud is left to dry first. Agitated loose and vacuumed dry, it comes out; wetted while it's still mud, it just goes deeper into the pile.

- Air vents, seams and trim gaps detailed with soft brushes
- Headlining spot-cleaned with minimal moisture
- Interior glass cleaned streak-free, including the top edge of the windscreen
- Door shuts and sills cleaned

Can you get rid of a musty smell in my car?+
Usually, yes, by removing the moisture and whatever's growing in it. If there's an ongoing leak, the smell will return until that's fixed — we'll flag it if we see signs of one.
Can you clean the headlining?+
Yes, carefully. Headlinings are glued, and the adhesive doesn't like moisture or heat, so they're spot-cleaned with minimal product rather than soaked — that's what avoids a sagging roof lining.
Do you cover the villages around Oakham and Uppingham?+
Yes, all of Rutland. We bring our own water and power, so a farm track or a cottage with no outside tap is no problem.
